This gentle chair yoga and qigong class (which you can also do standing) is a great way for people of all ages to experience mindful movement to help reduce stress and improve well-being.
Whether you are a senior who doesn't want to deal with floor yoga, or you are just taking a lunchbreak at the office, chair yoga and qigong is a great way to relax while getting some easy exercise. No excruciating downdogs or acrobatic poses. Just gentle movements to help keep your body healthy and your mind calm and alert. We will also incorporate breathing exercises and some meditation to round out our sessions.
You are welcome to join in for all or part of the class per your schedule. All you need is a sturdy chair, preferably without armrests. Most poses and movements can be done standing as well, so you can optionally stand to practice during the class.

Props: Please have a sturdy chair (ideally with no arms, like a folding chair). Optionally, have grippy socks, a yoga strap, a yoga mat (to put under the chair), and blocks, books, or blankets to place under the feet if your feet don't reach the floor in the chair.
